Creating collaborative advantage through research and understanding

Home

Introduction

Dr Richard Gibbs and Dr Andrew Humphries write, lecture and consult on how firms can improve their competitive positions by improving the performance and effectiveness of their partnerships.

The basis of their work is independent academic and practioner research, exploring and undercovering the dynamics and drivers of supply chain relationships, marketing channels and strategic alliances.

Current Research Activity

Two critical trends appear to be high on management agendas. The first is the need for ongoing change; organisational and structural change, continuous process change and improvement and creative change and innovation. The second trend is the importance of third parties, outsourced service providers or partners within the extended organisation of the firm.

Gibbs & Humphries are now concluding and writing up their research findings which describe how these two trends come together in what they describe as Collaborative Change. Gibbs & Humphries review the logic, benefits and challenges of this new strategic line of thinking.

Gibbs & Humphries are interested in recieving "peer review" and input from change management practitioners and partner and alliance managers. To participate in this research program, click here.
